The British Fashion Council (BFC) has revealed that for the next twelve months, all London Fashion Week events will merge womenswear and menswear designers into a one-gender, digital platform, allowing more latitude.
In light of the pandemic, London Fashion Week will shift to a digital-only platform and will relaunch in June for both trade and consumer audiences. It will also be open to global audiences, offering interviews, webinars, digital showrooms and insights into the London fashion scene.
BFC Chief Executive Caroline Rush explained that “The other side of this crisis, we hope will be about sustainability, creativity and product that you value, respect, cherish. By creating a cultural fashion week platform, we are adapting digital innovation to best fit our needs today and something to build on as a global showcase for the future.”
